Did y'all watch the VH1 Divas last night?
It was amazing, I was personally blown away by Leona Lewis' performances, Adele and J Hudson.
Leona Lewis duet with Cyndi Lauper was perfection as well as Adele and India Arie's.
Surprisingly, I kinda liked Miley Cyrus yesterday, she sang her up beat party song which I never heard before(i know, don't judge me, i was never a fan of her) and the song was fun. Me likey ;-) . Jennifer Hudson was also wonderful, both her solo and duet performance with Stevie Wonder were A plus games.

For me, the disappointing part was Jordin Sparks, she was just so so, her duet with Martina McBride didn't give me chill, it was just 'blah'. I was wondering why they didn't ask Carrie Underwood to be on the show, I think she's quite amazing, and she's done superbly, received many awards and all.   Anyway, Kelly Clarkson was not bad but she definitely could do better.

Sunday dillema

I just found out that this guy that I just started seeing sent me an email( in this dating site to be particular), well he wants to meet this afternoon to hang out. The thing is why he didn't call me or at least text me about this plan, instead of sending me an email?  What if I never open my email on sunday, or get occupied with some other things that i forget to check on my email. I can't help but to think that this person is probably trying to save few bucks from texting or calling me on his phone, in most cases, that would be wise and advisable these days considering the economic downturn, however in this case I feel that he's cheap, do you think I make sense???  I just feel like he's not that wise for doing that or just simply too frugal a person. I don't know!.
Whatever the reason was, I always find it a bit strange if someone already knew your phone number and has met you in person....why even bother sending email again???  I probably sound like a spoiled bitch right now, but think about it. What would you feel if you are in this position, would you like to be notified by email(and in this case, not your regular main email but dating site) or just a phone call or text?

Cry Me A River....

In New York is raining now, and it's been raining the whole day since this morning. It really is a wet day, also feeling really cool. I know what I really want in this cool rainy day like this, just being cozy at home looking out through window, sipping hot chocolate or tea and listening to the rain. Back home, I still remember, I used to lay on the bed and put on a soft song and just being there, after the rain stops, this distinctive smell comes out ....something earthy, something woody. A very relaxing and soothing smell that's all I can say. I have never encountered anything like that here, maybe because I live in New York City, full of concrete everywhere and tall big buildings.

A close friend of mine told me that the rain is romantic, I don't know what transpired into that but I guess everyone has their preconceived ideas about rain in general. Some might say that it makes them sad, while others might like it much as a blessings from the universe. So, what do you feel about rainy day? Does it remind you of something?

X factor auditions 2009

I've been following the auditions of X Factor on youtube. It's definitely fun to see something similar like American Idol. There are some great catchy performances by the Brits. But this one really got me choked up and cried like a baby. The guy's name is Daryl Markham, 40 yo cabinet maker. The story behind his auditions was really sad, and somehow he raised above and did wonderful. Well, see it for yourself!

Cupcakes....

I baked some banana cupcakes today, it turned out great. It was not difficult at all, this recipe definitely is the easiest to make so far. I didn't have to work my ass off to create these delicious treats. I made the honey cinnamon frosting to go along with the cupcakes. Now, what I have to do is quickly distribute these to people before I finish them off myself.

Starbucks or starstruck??

Yesterday afternoon I happened to be craving for my fav drink from this chain coffee house, skim chai tea latte that's what i ordered.
I almost chuckled when a woman behind me shouted her order, venti skinny vanilla latte with something(i don't remember exactly cause it was too long) at 130 degrees....  seriously are u kidding me??   Since when you can order the drink specifically made with certain degree??? and how in the heck would you know if that's brewed in 130 degrees or whatever temperature you ask. 
boy oh boy, clearly i haven't been an avid starbucks customer. I can't keep up with them ;-)
